Silver Award in the 2026 reFocus Black & White Photo Contest

I'm incredibly honoured to have been recognised in the 2026 reFocus Black & White Photo Contest, receiving a Silver Award in the Aerial category for my image, 6 Degrees of Chaos, this image also received an honourable mention in the event category.

The reFocus Awards announced this year's winners from a highly competitive international field, with entries submitted by photographers from 104 countries around the world. To have my work selected among such a talented group of image-makers is both humbling and deeply rewarding.

This year's judging panel included respected professionals from some of the world's leading publications and creative organisations, including the New York Times, Condé Nast, The Financial Times, Rizzoli Publishing, and others. Knowing that my work was viewed and assessed by such an accomplished panel makes this recognition particularly meaningful.

The image captures a fleeting moment during a performance by the Royal Australian Air Force's aerobatic display team, the RAAF Roulettes. Flying the advanced Pilatus PC-21, the Roulettes are renowned for their precision formation flying, low-level aerobatics and the remarkable discipline required to maintain tight formations at high speed.
