The Tuff Truck Challenge was Australia's premier off-road 4x4 rock crawling event, held annually in Milbrodale, New South Wales, since 2001. This event is currently not running. This three-day spectacle pitted teams of drivers and navigators against some of the most brutal terrain imaginable—think jagged boulders, deep mud pits, and near-vertical climbs. It's not about speed; it's about precision, control, and sheer grit.
Working with Offroad Images for the event, an Australian-based professional photography and videography company specializing in off-road and adventure content. Led by the legendary Michael Ellem, it was an absolute learning experience. They focus on capturing the rugged beauty of Australia's landscapes and the vehicles and equipment that traverse them.

What They Do
  • Commercial Photography & Video: Offroad Images produces high-quality visual content for brands in the 4WD and adventure industries. Their work includes promotional materials, product showcases, and lifestyle imagery that highlights the capabilities of off-road vehicles.
  • Vehicle Builds & Features: They document custom vehicle builds, providing detailed insights into modifications and performance enhancements. An example is their "Mighty 79" LandCruiser project, which showcases extensive upgrades and real-world testing across Australia's diverse terrains. 
  • Adventure Storytelling: Beyond technical showcases, Offroad Images tells compelling stories of exploration and adventure, bringing viewers along on journeys through remote and challenging environments.
